This past Friday, at the annual State Chairman’s Awards Dinner, the Maricopa Republican Club (MRC) captured the state party’s top honor as the “Club of the Year”. In order to win this award the MRC had to compete against clubs from across the state. On hand to accept the award was the MRC President Brenda Hermanson and the past MRC Secretary Andy Lockridge.
Hermanson was “pleasantly surprised to win the Club of the Year honors. We were competing against so many outstanding clubs. After all our hard work this past year we are excited to receive this recognition.”
According to the club’s Vice President, Mike Robertson, “this honor was a hard earned and well deserved honor. Under the leadership of the executive board and our club president, Brenda Hermanson, along with our club member’s time, dedication and energy we were able to receive an honor that usually goes to the larger, better known clubs within the state. We are proud of what we accomplished this past year and look forward to getting better in 2010. Thank you to every member that helped the MRC succeed in 2009. This honor is recognition of your hard work.”
