Pizzas and Prevention – MFD and Domino’s partner to deliver more than just pizza
The Maricopa Fire Department is proud to partner with Domino’s Pizza this weekend to spread the word of fire prevention. This Friday and Saturday night, when Maricopa residents call for delivery, they may be surprised when it arrives in a fire engine.
To promote fire prevention, Domino’s Pizza has teamed up with local fire departments all over the country to deliver pizza and fire prevention tips. When the pizzas are delivered, the fire fighters will offer fire safety tips to the residents and check their smoke detectors. If all smoke detectors are working, than the dinner is free. If the fire fighters find smoke detectors without batteries, or with dead batteries, they will be replaced, leaving the home safer and better protected against fire.
"Teaming up with Domino’s Pizza and joining this national campaign (also endorsed by the National Fire Protection Agency and Dairy Management Incorporated) is a great way to spread the fire prevention message in our community," states Division Chief of Fire Prevention, Mark Boys. "We are looking forward to a successful weekend."
"Domino’s Pizza stores across the country are more excited than ever to team up with their local fire department," said spokesperson Jenny Fouracre. "In fact, there will be more fire truck deliveries made this October than all of the deliveries made last year for Domino’s Pizza fire safety program."
This is the third year that Domino’s Pizza has partnered with local fire departments across the country and executed the fire truck deliveries of pizza and fire safety tips.

This is so cool…this is the first time i have heard about it….and after i got pizza already this afternoon. I may have to call for pizza again for the kids so can have them come ck our smoke detectors as we have one that i keep changing the battery every month and it still beeps….drives me insane.
