First Annual Turkey Trot to help fill food bank
The Maricopa Police Department would like to help local food bank F.O.R. (Food, Opportunity & Resources) Maricopa feed those in need this Holiday Season.
To that end, they are sponsoring the First Annual Maricopa Cop Turkey Trot and Canned Food Drive this Thanksgiving Day!
Run, walk, or trot in either two miles or four. Invite your friends and family to help cheer you on.
“Let’s fill up the Police cars with canned food for Food, Opportunity, and Resources,” said Police spokesman Sgt Stephen Judd.

The First Annual Maricopa Cop Turkey Trot and Canned Food Drive will be held Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th, 2008, in the parking lot of the Clubhouse at The Villages at Rancho El Dorado, 20991 N. Butterfield Pkwy. Registration begins at 8:00 am, the Trot is at 8:30 am.
