Maricopa Fire Department presents Water Safety Day

Children of all ages can meet the firefighters, learn about drowning prevention and water safety at Water Safety Day, this Saturday, May 31st at Pacana Park.

“Teaching kids water safety is extremely important and will prevent accidents and drownings,” stated Public Safety Director Patrick Melvin. “Your children are the first defense you can use to prevent water incidents.”

In addition to water safety information, there will be two Maricopa fire trucks, an ambulance and a helicopter at the event. Children will be able to bounce in the bounce house and free snow cones will be distributed.

If you go: Water Safety Day will be held this Saturday, May 31st, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Pacana Park, 19000 North Porter Road in Maricopa.
