Pinal County citizens can now report minor crimes online at PCSO website

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has added another helpful feature via website to make Pinal County citizens’ lives easier and to help free up time for its hard-working deputies.

Pinal County citizens living in PCSO jurisdiction can now file minor crime reports online at the PCSO website. The report is the last item on the left-hand main navigation menu.

Minor crimes include: thefts where the value of the items taken is less than $1,000; all stolen bicycles despite the bicycle value; shoplifted items with a value less than $250; criminal damage with a value of less than $1,000; and lost property with a value more than $1,000 (there is no report for values less than $1,000).

A series of easily-navigable questions lead the reporting party through the minor crime reporting process and the report is submitted via computer directly to the PCSO Records Unit, no deputy required. However, if citizens are reporting a crime in progress or choose to have a deputy respond to take a minor crime report, they can still call the PCSO dispatch center at (520) 866-5111.

The PCSO Online Minor Crime Report is one of many features available on the PCSO website, including found property and inmate searches, records request and graffiti removal forms and the latest news and information about the different units. The goal is to have a user-friendly site that is increasingly helpful to citizens and PCSO employees alike.
