DPS Wednesday operation will use 42 mobile photo enforcement units
With the start of the long Thanksgiving Holiday travel period, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, in partnership with Operation CARE (Combined Accident Reduction Effort), will place 42 mobile photo enforcement units along Interstate 10 and Interstate 40 in Arizona.
These mobile units will be placed every 20 miles along these designated interstates (from border to border) to help slow drivers down. The mobile photo enforcement units will be in operation from 3:00 to 11:00 pm on Wednesday, November 26th.
The mobile photo enforcement units will supplement the efforts of DPS Officers on the road that will be looking for impaired drivers, aggressive drivers and tired drivers. In addition, officers will be enforcing safety belt laws and doing their own speed enforcement. This unique effort is part of a national push by Operation CARE to help save lives during the long holiday weekend.
